EXCURSION

We planned an excursion program in the afternoon of 06-AUG-2014, before the banquet.
This is a mini-bus-tour to one or more of the following venues: Okurayama-Mountain (Ski Jumping Hill), Japanese Rice Wine Brewery, and/or Sapporo Factory Mall.
If you will not join this excursion, please provide that information in the Registration page prepared by a travel agency (# The excursion fee is not refunded).

Okurayama Ski Jumping Slide


Okurayama-Mauntain ski-jumping-slide was the place of a large hill (90 meter) ski jump competition in the 1972 Winter Olympic games held in Sapporo. The lifts will take you to the top of the jumping slide (approximately 5 min). If you don't want to get on the lift, you can stay in a rest house and/or ski museum.

Japanese Rice Wine Factory


A guide will take us a short tour (30 min) within the brewery to show a special brewing / fermentation process to make Japanese rice wine (Sake).

Sapporo Factory Mall


Sapporo factory is a mall consisting of approximately 160 stores and facilities (not a real factory). In the brick block part of this mall, there are so many original craft- and glassworks. The elevator has a unique shape.
