2nd Ice-Binding Protein Conference

Welcome to the 2nd International Ice-Binding Protein Conference. IBPs were discovered in a variety of organisms living in cold/ice-laden environments that influence ice growth. Examples range from antifreeze proteins (thermal hysteresis proteins) to ice nucleation proteins. Because of their uniqueness in science and technology, both the basic principles and practical applications of IBPs are discussed in this conference. The program consists of plenary lectures, oral presentations, poster sessions, and an excursion. The venue is the Conference Hall of Hokkaido University, which is located close to the Sapporo Railway (JR) station, the most central area of Sapporo city. Many hotels, shops, restaurants, malls, and tourist spots are located within this neighborhood. We hope all the attendee will enjoy both the conference and their visit to this most northern international city of Japan (by Tsuda S, the host organizer). # Click here to see the pictures.
