This conference was held at the 2nd floor of the conference hall of Hokkaido University with a total of approx. 90 participants. The conference consisted of 4 oral and 2 poster sessions. The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Prof. Charles Knight. The Sapporo Aspen Hotel was the place for the reception and banquet. This hotel and the conference hall are within 5-min walk (see the map). There were also three commercial displays from the Japanese companies, Nichirei, Kaneka, and Japan Hi-Tech Co.Ltds (Tsuda, 08-AUG-2014).
